Operating Hours

The airport is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for flight operations.  Currently there are no noise restrictions, however, to maintain this privilege and standing it is requested those conducting extended night operations do so clear of the Whanganui residential and built up areas.

The airport terminal building is opened one hour before the departure of scheduled flights and 30 minutes prior to scheduled arrivals. The terminal is closed 15 minutes after each departure or arrival. If access to the airport terminal is required outside the published hours please contact the Airport Duty Officer.
