Airport Amenities

Whanganui Airport features a number of customer oriented facilities. These include:

Terminal Hours

The airport terminal building is open one hour before the departure of scheduled flights and 30 minutes prior to scheduled arrivals. If access to the terminal building is required outside these times please contact the Duty Airport Officer.

Terminal Lounge

Its not the Koru Club, but it is modern, bright and comfortable, and it is free. Facilities are also available for the changing of young children.

Visitor Information

A visitor kiosk is located in the entrance to the Baggage Claim area.  Direct dial options to various visitor services including taxis, accommodation and dining providers are available together with brochures and general information on Whanganui and the surrounding area.

Baggage Claim

An enclosed area with direct external access to the short term car park is provided for baggage claim.

Personal luggage is normally available within minutes of the aircraft arrival.
